The above question was asked by a parent to Wayne Goldsmith who has been involved in the Olympic Games, World Championships, Professional Football Finals, International Tours with professional teams and understands what it takes to bring out the best in individuals, teams and organisations.

His responses should really make us as parents think very carefully and they included:

How to help children deal with failure?

During any sporting career at any level and in any sport there will hopefully be many high points that can be enjoyed by all. However, inevitably there will be some low points and it is during these moments of failure where many lessons can be learnt by the parent and athlete.
